Take ‘AdVantage’ of New Transition Lenses

Transitions Vantage polarized lenses

Transition lenses have plenty of perks – not only do they look great and provide protection, but they are a good way to save money by essentially being both a pair of designer eyeglasses and designer sunglasses. Also known as photochromic lenses, these are the ones you’ve seen that automatically become tinted in the sunlight and return to clear once you are back indoors.

But there is a new player in the transition game that you should know about – Transitions Vantage Adaptive Lenses. This is the very first photochromic lens to make a polarized transition. When ultraviolet light come into contact with the lenses, they begin to change color – the darker the lenses get, the more the polarization increases, providing the utmost protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Transitions Vantage lenses use a new kind of technology called “variable polarization.” Here’s what they have to say about it.

Transitions® Vantage™ lenses will have a variable level of polarization efficiency (how well a lens transmits vertical light relative to how well it blocks horizontal light) depending on the amount of UV exposure. Until now, polarization only existed as a static film embedded in conventional lenses. Variable polarization is a new-generation technology that adapts to UV exposure, orienting to the angle at which light reaches the eyes.

Currently, these lenses are only available in a gray tint. For more information on this amazing new lens, or to purchase a pair of glasses with Transitions Vantage lenses, please call us at 866-411-9428 or send us a message at info@viziooptic.com
