Gearing up for winter sports? If you’re the type who likes to brave the elements during your seasonal endeavors then you should be equipped with the proper accessories, and that includes a pair of designer sunglasses that are crafted specifically for performance. Not only do you need to shield your eyes from the sun’s rays, but from snow, rain, and any other form of precipitation that can impair your vision, so it’s best to find a larger frame that wraps around your head and keeps your eyes safe from harm.
Maui Jim Nine Palms H255 sunglasses are a good place to start. This unisex style is rectangular and wide enough to cover most of your eye area from top to bottom, with the wide arms protecting you further. Be safe in style in the above Root Beer shade, dark gray, or matte black – all embellished with the brand’s signature logo on the temples and etched in the corner of the HCL lenses.
You can find similar coverage with Mosley Tribes Hensley sunglasses - a more retro style in the Wayfarer family that has large lenses and wide arms. This simple frame’s only embellishment is the brand’s logo etched into the temples. Hensley is also equipped with polarized lenses for the utmost protection.
Polarized lenses are a must during winter outdoor activities. The sun doesn’t feel as strong, but the rays are almost double their usual strength when reflecting off of fresh snow. According to UVawareness.com, “fresh snow can reflect as much as 80% of UV radiation.”
Make it a point to stay safe this winter with a pair of protective designer sunglasses. You’ll be caring for your eye health and looking great all at the same time!
The Mosley Tribes sunglasses collection is stylish, modern, and unique. Its designers use artistic inspiration of particular place and pair it with state-of-the-art materials to make classic styles that are perfected and refined. The Mosley Tribes Enforcer is a prime example. More than a traditional aviator frame, Enforcer sunglasses are sleek and streamlined, providing optimal eyewear performance colored in fashionable tints and hues.
The advanced technology of Mosley Tribes’ VFX technology provides polarized, photochromic lenses fashioned from mineral glass. Oleophobic and anti-reflective coatings prevent buildup and distractions from marring a picture-perfect view of the world. Mosley Tribes sunglasses are constructed of lenses with transitional properties that change with surrounding light conditions to provide maximum eye protection under the harshest desert sun while adjusting to let in the soft, rosy tones of a sunrise over the mesas or dusk over an adobe skyline.
Enforcer sunglasses come in a range of lens colors. The lenses change from silver or gold in low light to midnight, java, chrome amber, or chrome sapphire over the course of the day. Whether out in the wild or in the bustling city, the Mosley Tribes Enforcer is a sturdy and functional piece of technical eyewear that exceeds expectations while being stylish in the extreme.
Crafted to exacting standards of style and function, the Mosley Tribes Enforcer is comfortable and lightweight. Life in all its vibrancy and detail can be enjoyed in full, in the round, comfortably and in impeccable fashion. These sunglasses are perfect for a discerning clientele.

This all-male 4th Dimension collection from ProDesign eyewear has a uniquely designed hinge, milled from a block of aluminum. This innovative solution adds an industrial feel to the urban, modern collection.
The aluminum temple has been carved away to reduce weight and form a pattern that expresses power and energy. It is repeated in the plastic end tip to obtain perfect balance in the frame.

Fashion is important year-round, but fall tends to bring out great style in everyone, and this month we’ve noticed a definite trend among the Hollywood elite. Persol sunglasses seem to be the running favorite this month – they’re a subtle way to add a luxurious item to your everyday wardrobe. Timeless silhouettes and classic colors give these shades the perfect combination for a elegant and chic look this season.
Both Jay-Z and Zac Efron are fans of Persol 0649 sunglasses, a retro frame that seems to be based off modern aviators. The teardrop shaped polarized lenses come in brown, surrounded by a tortoiseshell frame that has a vintage-inspired keyhole bridge, textured templs, and the brand’s signature arrow motif on the hinges.
Julia Roberts look sleek and chic in her Persol 2977S sunglasses in black. These rectangular shades have a slight cat-eye shape, with the brand’s famous Meflecto hinge accenting the arms in silver. This style also features the arrow motif that allow people to spot Persol sunglasses in an instant. It is also offered in brown.
Lastly, we have Katie Holmes in a pair of Persol 2747S sunglasses, a rectangular frame that is beautifully flattering on her square face. It keeps everything in balance and doesn’t overwhelm her facial features. The 2747S, also available in black, is embellished with the arrow motif in silver on the hinges.

This past weekend we celebrated our second trunk show of the season with the annual LINDBERG Eyewear event. Many of our friends and neighbors visited to explore the Danish brand’s extensive 2012 and permanent collections, ranging from rimless and plastic to funky kids glasses. We had a great time and are so excited we had such a great turnout! Here are some photos from Saturday’s show.
Yesterday we talked about how popular brow-line glasses are this season – on TV, on the runways, and in our very own store. LINDBERG makes this style in a wide range of colors so you can opt for a classic black or a standout red frame. The top is made out of high-quality, transparent acetate so when you go for a bold shade, know that it will be even more beautifully emphasized when light shines through the material.
Round, vintage-inspired frames are another must-have look this season, seen in the fall collections of Louis Vuitton, Karen Walker, Illesteva, and Miu Miu. We love the transparency of the frames that will pop in the sunlight, as well as their totally retro monochromatic look. You can also see the inner workings of the LINDBERG sunglasses, a display of the brand’s most famous characteristic – fashionable innovation.
Little ones are not left out here! LINDBERG kids glasses are fun, colorful, and most importantly, lightweight – an important feature for new and young wearers to lessen distractions. They are made with the brand’s patented screw-less hinge design, reassuring parents that the frames will not loosen or come apart.

We all have those days where we just want to be invisible, but many of us have moments where all we want to do is shine. Our favorite way to stand out in the crowd is with a bold pair of specs that doubles as a cool accessory and a great conversation piece. We hope you’ll love these Prodesign eyeglasses as much as we do. Today we were in the mood for blue and pink styles. And here they are!
Did you ever consider that your designer eyeglasses may be the first thing someone would notice when they meet you for the first time?
You might think people would look at your new shoes or your tie, your dress or clothes or hair or other more things first. But it’s almost impossible not to look at someone’s face or eyes when you see them. And if you wear glasses, your specs are going to be a big part of that first impression.
That means that when you’re designer glasses, you should be thinking about not only what frames look good on you, but also the impression your frames will give people who are meeting you for the first time. When people come to Vizio Optic to learn more about buying glasses, we like to recommend that they think of eyewear in terms of creating a signature look.
What’s a signature look? It’s the sum of your style, your accessories, and the way you carry yourself that says to the world “I am me! I am X, Y, or Z!” How do glasses fit into a signature look? Think about the chunky frames worn by designer Yves Saint Laurent – what did his glasses say about him? Or if you meet someone wearing glammed-up cat’s eye frames, how does that change your first impression of them?
Because your glasses play such a large role in that first impression people form, it pays to choose frames carefully. To give you a more concrete idea of what we mean, here are four designer frames along with the first impression they might convey:
The person wearing these Alain Mikli glasses is most definitely fun and fashionable. She or he probably has a vibrant and outgoing personality.
Anyone who chooses these Giorgio Armani glasses has got to be smart, secure, and responsible because it’s such a mature, intelligent style.
If you’re wearing Vue dc ART glasses, people will regard you as being geek chic – in other words fashionably intelligent, not a slave to fashion. You may even be taken for an Andy Warhol devotee.
Now ProDesign glasses are some of our favorites in the first-impressions department because from the front they say “responsible adult” but from the side they say “I’m still one of the cool kids!” That definitely keeps people guessing!
What first impression do your glasses convey?
Lately we’re loving Beausoleil M700 eyeglasses. This frame comes in plenty of colors including the above red, as well as black, silver, gunmetal, brown, and metallic cream.Which ones do you like?
