Neon shades are HOT this summer, and we’re not just talking sunglasses. Electric hues have special reign over the usual color choices of the season, allowing you to amp up your outfit with a chartreuse dress here, a hot pink heel there, and a psychedelic rainbow of colors when it comes to your sunwear. Don’t know where to start? Take a look at three of the hottest neon designer sunglasses below:

CHANEL 5227H SunglassesCHANEL 5227H sunglasses are brand new from the French fashion house. This elegant and feminine style is a great way to ease into wearing neons if you’re a bit too timid to start off bold. These CHANEL sunglasses are black with squared gray lenses, accented by an electric blue trim. The colored rim is transparent, letting its beautiful color glow in the sunlight. The signature CC logo appears in colored mother of pearl on the temples.

MYKITA Tim sunglasses

For fashionable men, there are MYKITA sunglasses in Tim, a pair of neon orange shades that will stop traffic, and not just because of its HAZMAT color! This modern aviator is made of flat metal, with a closed bridge and geometric lenses in gray. The nose pads and ears are accented with white plastic for the ultimate comfort.

Beausoleil CS12 sunglasses

Last, but not least, are Beausoleil CS12 sunglasses. With color combinations in purple/pink and blue/yellow, there’s no way you won’t be a total knockout in these neon frames. This three-toned frame features U-shaped lenses with a blue rim, mounted atop a silver frame with yellow trim. The metal arms of these Beausoleil sunglasses are capped with comfortable blue-and-yellow plastic as well.

Bupropion

We love retro style at Vizio Optic, and Oliver Goldsmith sunglasses are the epitome of cool, vintage-inspired fashion. Perfect for any season, the London brand’s glamorous frames are sexy and timeless. Take Oliver Goldsmith Sophia sunglasses, for instance, from the OG Icons collection.

Oliver Goldsmith Sophia sunglasses

This beautiful pair of designer sunglasses was created in 1958, inspired by the legendary actress Sophia Loren. She was one of Goldsmith’s favorites and, as per usual with his favorite people and places, he produced a flawless frame to evoke her style and grace. The popularity and iconic status of this model is due in part to another Old Hollywood actress – Grace Kelly – who donned these cat-eye sunglasses in the early sixties.

Oliver Goldsmith Sophia sunglasses

These stunning Oliver Goldsmith sunglasses have a chunky plastic front rim in black, with gray ovular lenses and a thick bridge inside the feline silhouette. The upper corners are accented with two silver dots, a signature look from the brand. For a little mod flair, there are ivory-colored arms that are slightly translucent and complement the front very nicely.

Oliver Goldsmith Sophia sunglasses are also available in Black Aqua, Electric Tortoise, Gray Raspberry, Leopard, and Matt Black. Visit our website to see additional colors and the rest of the OG Icons collection today!

Whether you’re a mathlete or completely clueless when it comes to mathematics, the hot trend of using geometric shapes in designer sunglasses is popping up everywhere. Polygons galore can be found in brands like Oliver Goldsmith and MYKITA, making for a unique look that will stand out in your everyday wardrobe. Here are the top geometric sunglasses for 2012.

Oliver Goldsmith Kendal sunglasses

Oliver Goldsmith Kendal sunglasses are the perfect example of a geometric design. Touted as an “aviator with a difference,” this frame from the brand’s Icons collection was designed in 1970 to show the fashion world that aviators were not required to be made in a certain shape or with metal. Kendal features a matte black quartz frame with beautiful gradient lenses, and is also available in Coulis Sandwich, Electric Tortoise, Grey Aqua, and Black Truffle.

MYKITA Ethan Sunglasses

MYKITA Ethan sunglasses stick closer to the classic aviator shape, keeping the basic design and adding a few extra angles. Rather than going for rounded lenses, the brand opts for a pentagonal shape, with the upper right corner providing a side for the trapezoidal bridge. The black frame features black gradient lenses, as well as matching nose pads and plastic ear tips.

Oliver Goldsmith Fuz sunglasses

When you search for a pair of square sunglasses, you come up with a whole lot of styles whose designers clearly are unaware of the definition of “square.” Not with Oliver Goldsmith. Once again, the London brand knows just what it takes to create a cool geometric frame. Rather than going for a structured rectangular look (which is what you’ll find in most of the styles that are supposed to be “square”) Oliver Goldsmith Fuz sunglasses are exactly what you expect. The shape stands out, especially with its stunning tortoise-colored frame and rosy lenses.

Viramune

The huge trend this season is vibrant, bright colors in every aspect of your wardrobe, but you don’t want to overdo it. Try these four favorites:

MYKITA Audrey sunglasses

1. MYKITA Audrey sunglasses – These frames have a classic silhouette that flatters just about every face shape. With a rectangular top and rounded bottom rim, Audrey takes on a Wayfarer-inspired look with wider upper corners as well as wide arm pieces. Maui Jim Rainbow Falls sunglasses

2. Maui Jim Rainbow Falls sunglasses – These frames from Maui Jim are great for women who want an elegant look with the oversized silhouette that a diva would absolutely adore. The large oval lenses are surrounded by a cinnamon matching thin arm pieces that are adorned with the Maui Jim signature logo in gold.

Face a Face Fifty 2 sunglasses

3. Face a Face Fifty 2 sunglasses – Slightly retro and totally chic, these white Face a Face sunglasses are flared in the upper corners, and have matching white arm pieces accented with a silver dot. Gray gradient lenses complete the sophisticated look and will have you looking white hot all summer long.

MYKITA Joanie sunglasses

4. MYKITA Joanie sunglasses – You can find an even more vintage-inspired look with these designer sunglasses from MYKITA, which have an extreme cat-eye shape that is softened by the rounded corners.
